After some brainstorming, we designed a wooden prototype soccer ball kicking mechanism. It uses a pneumatic piston to 'kick'.

VTHS Students: Can't view the video above while on the school network? YouTube is currently being blocked. We are planning to host the videos on this server as a workaround.
